Kellogg Community College is offering a two-day class about gerrymandering in October at the North Avenue Campus in Battle Creek.
The purpose of holding this class is to provide an overview of the political process known as gerrymandering so that the general public will get a better understanding of the ins and outs of the issue before Michigan’s general election on Nov. 6.
The choice for classes include:
- Gerrymandering: What It Is and Why You Should Care, an afternoon session held from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 10 and 17. The cost of enrolling in the course is $40 and it will be held in room 304 of the Lane-Thomas Building.
- Understanding Gerrymandering, an evening session held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 23 and 30. The cost of enrolling in the course is $35 and it will be held in room 304 of the Lane-Thomas Building.
