Homer will be celebrating its 43rd annual Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Blair Historical Farm.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is organized by the Homer Historical Society and aims to show off historical barns and buildings from around the area.
The highlight of this year’s event is the old Albion Township Hall, which was recently relocated to the Blair Farm for preservation. Historical Society member Donna Scudder said the hard work put in to move the Township Hall was a small price to pay to preserve the history surrounding the building.
“Of course, we still have a lot of work left to do on it, but I believe that it will all be worth it in the end,” Scudder said.
Attendees will also be able to tour a Victorian-era farmhouse, as well as walk a nearby nature trail. There will also be performances from The Homespun Strings and Uncle Carl’s Dulcimer Club. Food will include bratwurst, baked beans, apple butter, and homemade pies.
