Kellogg Community College is hosting its yearly family-friendly Halloween trick-or-treating event, Bruin Boo, this month.

Bruin Boo will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, on KCC’s main campus at 450 North Avenue in Battle Creek. The event is free and open to the public.

This is a fun and safe trick-or-treating event with games, face painting, and photo ops. It’s perfect for kids to wear their Halloween costumes and for parents to join in the fun.

Assistant Lifelong Learning Director Abbie Brennan, who coordinates the event, said, “The purpose of Bruin Boo is to invite the community to our campus and share everything that KCC has to offer.”

Brennan also shared her favorite part about Bruin Boo, which is “seeing all the adorable kids and their costumes. I also love to see the employees of KCC come together to participate in the event, as well as our student-athletes who always assist. It takes a lot of volunteers to make an event this size happen, but the hard work pays off when you see the happy kids and families.”

The event provides the Battle Creek community with another great opportunity to both have fun with their families and get involved with the college.

“There’s no other Halloween event like it and people will walk away having had a wonderful time,” Brennan said. More information about Bruin Boo can be found on KCC’s website at kellogg.edu/bruinboo.
