Starting on Feb. 24, Kellogg Community College has lifted the mask mandates across all campuses.
This change will be effective across all KCC facilities, allowing every individual the choice to opt out of wearing a mask indoors.
Due to the declining COVID-19 cases in Michigan, the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has adjusted their mask recommendations. This included no longer advising all individuals to wear masks on Michigan college campuses.
While wearing a mask is no longer mandatory on campus, KCC and the CDC both still advise individuals to wear a mask if they have been exposed to the virus. Additionally, KCC encourages those who want to continue wearing masks to do so, and asks that other students and staff be respectful of that choice.
With the many remote options for education at KCC, individuals are equipped to make their own personal decision for how they choose to protect their health. If students opt to take classes in person at KCC, they are now welcome to make an educated decision on whether or not to wear a mask.
