The first Bruins Give Back volunteer event for the semester is Friday, Sept. 28, at Kellogg Community College’s community garden, located on the North Avenue campus in Battle Creek.
According to a news release from the college, Bruins Give Back volunteer opportunities are held on Friday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon and generally happen three times a semester. During this first event, volunteers will be helping the college prepare the garden for the fall.
Although this event is located on campus, not all Bruins Give Back events are located at KCC campuses. The events are often held at locations like elementary schools and other community gardens.
Interested KCC students and/or employees are invited to sign up to volunteer through the online form online at https://goo.gl/forms/sCbWS9VObHCJQBmL2.
