Crawlspace Eviction is hosting an improv comedy show called “Ramen” from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 21 and 22, at their new venue at 315 W. Michigan Ave. in Kalamazoo.
Tickets cost $13 for general admission and $11 for students. The show only has 50 tickets available on their website through Sept. 19 for the show, which will consist of short-form improv games.
Dann Sytsma, director of Crawlspace Eviction, compared it to “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?” The second half of the show is a long-form improv where they do 20 minutes of scenes from crowd suggestions.
Sytsma says the age range typically is 15 and up, and “at times it can get a bit R rated.”
The Crawlspace Comedy Theatre is being housed in a brand new location at the historic First Baptist Church in Kalamazoo.
“It’s a beautiful performance space, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how it’s come together,” Sytsma says. “I think people will be surprised by how cool it is.”
